When you purchase a loose diamond or custom-made jewelry from Gallery Diamond, it is shipped along with an official diamond grading report (also known as a diamond certificate). These reports are issued by internationally recognized laboratories such as GIA, HRD, or IGI and are prepared by expert diamond graders.Since these reports are valuable and cannot be easily replaced, every returned diamond must include its original international diamond report.In addition to the international report, every Gallery Diamond jewel or diamond is also accompanied by the GD Diamond Report, issued by our in-house gemologists. This report further guarantees the authenticity and quality of your selected diamond.

How to request a return or cancellation

If you wish to cancel or return your purchase, please contact one of our Diamond & Jewellery Consultants at +44 20 3318 7079 to obtain a Return Authorization.

Order cancellation timeline

• You may cancel your order any time before dispatch. Once the dispatch notification has been issued, cancellation is no longer possible.
• After shipment, cancellation will be processed only after the item is returned to Gallery Diamond and successfully passes our Quality Assurance inspection.

Return conditions

For a return to be accepted:

• The diamond or jewellery must be returned in original condition
• All accompanying documents must be included, such as:
• International Diamond Grading Report
• Diamond Appraisal or Jewellery Certificate
• The item must be properly packaged and undamaged

If required documents are missing, a replacement fee of €100–€120 will be deducted from your refund. The remaining amount will be credited back using the original payment method.

Special production & non-stock items

• For items that are custom-produced or not in ready stock, cancellation is allowed within 12 hours of placing the order.
• If cancellation is requested within this timeframe, the refund will be issued through the same payment method.
• Once production has started, cancellation is no longer possible.

Non-returnable items

• Seasonal jewellery (e.g., Christmas or special edition pieces)
• Tailor-made / custom jewellery

For over 30 years, GALLERY DIAMOND has proudly offered its B2C customers a Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Service, giving you the freedom to evolve your diamond as your journey grows.

Eligibility

To qualify for the GD Diamond Upgrade Service:

• The diamond must have been originally purchased from GALLERY DIAMOND
• It must be accompanied by an international diamond grading report from GIA, HRD, or IGI

Mounted Diamonds (Set in Jewellery)

• Credit value is based solely on the diamond, not the setting
• Eligible only for single diamonds of 0.30 ct or larger
• Your original setting may be reused if it fits the new diamond and meets quality standards
• If the setting cannot be reused, you may:
• Keep the original setting, or
• Receive a credit value determined by GALLERY DIAMOND
• Diamonds not originally set by GALLERY DIAMOND must be returned loose (without setting)

Loose Diamonds

• Round Brilliant Cut diamonds graded by GIA, HRD, or IGI and purchased from GALLERY DIAMOND are eligible
• Fancy Shape – Modified Brilliant Cut diamonds are eligible only if upgraded to another fancy shape of the same category
• Diamonds will be re-evaluated at current GD market prices
• Upgrade credit equals 80% of the original purchase price
• The new diamond must be priced at a minimum of twice the original diamond value
• The diamond must be returned in original condition, with its original grading report
• Any damage to the diamond or grading report may result in disqualification
• Downgrades and cash refunds are not available

Diamond Grading Reports (GIA / HRD / IGI)

• The original international grading report must be returned in usable, undamaged condition
• Damaged reports may incur additional replacement fees
• For laser-inscribed diamonds, the inscription must be clearly visible and intact

Additional Conditions

• The GD Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Service is valid for purchases made in the UK or Greece
• For other countries, eligibility is assessed case by case
• Upgrade purchases must be completed in the original purchase currency
• Natural Fancy Color diamonds and Treated Color diamonds are not eligible for this service
